Resentment

“If you are filled with anger, you create more suffering for yourself than for the other person… So you try to bring peace into yourself first. When you are calm, when you are lucid, you will see that the other person is a victim of confusion of hate, of violence transmitted by society, by parents, by friends, by the environment. When you are able to see that, your anger is no longer there…”

Thich Nhat Hanh

I can confirm the above quote, but do aware that the anger may come back. That incivil person in the office, that rude family member is really possible to stay just the way they are. I often forget that fact of life. That rude person will probably stay rude for the rest of their life, their attitude will not automatically change just because we change our attitude toward them.

Cheers, may you be calm, may you be at peace,

Karin Sabrina
