Love

Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life. It’s a promise made by an unknown, and being spread irresponsibly by a motivational speaker. In real life, even the job that you love can be unpleasant, and you will need to submit a 3 day off in every two months to the HR department to preserve your mental health.

“Never marry the one you can live with, marry the one you cannot live without.” – Well my dear, the truth is that one special person you can’t live without, may also be the person that hurt you the most. And actually that’s always the case with our fragile heart, it’s the person that we open our heart for, who made our heart breaks on regular basis.

So, what to do when the job we love feels unpleasant, or the person we love becomes annoying? We can’t leave; We can’t just call it quit.

I think we should revise our understanding about love. Why do we associates love with solely pleasant experience? Please note, I also strongly against that far extreme side that said we should suffer (literally) for this thing called love. No. Abusive behavior is not love. Not even close.

I believe on a growing through the journey. The job and the person that we claim we love, will shape us, they surely have deep impact on our growth as a person. If you like the way you are today, I guess it’s a healthy love you have, keep it, stay with all of its high and low. Perhaps, not very far in the future, you will remember the day you feel annoyed and upset, and you know that it’s the season that matured your soul.

Cheers, stay in love,
karin Sabrina.
