Samosir, or Samosir Island, is a large volcanic island in Lake Toba, located in the north of the island of Sumatra in Indonesia. It’s the jewel of Lake Toba, the tagline often used to describe this island as a beautiful place, a piece of heaven. And for me, it’s true. This place is heavenly beautiful.

Yes, they have a room that is a modified traditional Batak house, yes, you could have a hammock on your balcony so you could rest and see the majestic Lake Toba.

Ps. Oh.. the Pizza signboard include in the photo above is not within the hotel area, it’s located not far from Tabo though, it’s only five minutes walk from the hotel and it’s also a very good place to eat whenever you come to heaven.
