Budgeting

Write about your approach to budgeting.

I have tried so many approaches regarding budgeting, and the journey has always been a long and winding road. I don’t think I’m qualified to even answer this daily question in WordPress but I feel I need to remind myself that I’ve come a long way in this budgeting journey, and no need to compare my journey to others.

I might not slay the humongous debt yet, but I’m in a much much better situation now. Previously, I was drowned in debt, now I can say I am afloat; up to two years ago, I am living on my credit card(s), but now I have some actual cash, not much but enough to stay afloat. I have grown too in this particular subject, I used to think that recording all my expenses is so dreadful and boring and nothing will change anyway; now I know exactly how much I need in a month to get by, I can see clearly so much of my earnings goes directly to the void of debt, and strangely, now I have savings. To save $100 a month seems unattainable for me, but to save $3 a day is something that I could afford.

No need to compare our journey with others. We all are at the place we are supposed to be.

May you be at peace,

Karin Sabrina
