Bizarre

I get it when a person I know is bragging about how she/he now leads a very healthy life a.k.a becoming the gym goers, had solemnly made an oath to never eat any meat of a sentient being, and never miss 5k morning jog no matter what; it’s understandable, a healthy life is indeed hard to conduct. But when a person wears “hollier than thou” attitude just because he/she has read some particular lengthy books, I found it really bizzare.

For me personally, I read books because I like it, and as the sayings : the more I read the more I know how much I don’t know, I strongly believe when we read books properly, it’s actually a very humbling experience.

So to meet an actual person who is self-proclaimed to be an avid reader, often use “big words”, and have this tendency to underestimate every person who has not read as many book as he did; it was a hideously bizarre experience. It’s hard for me to understand.

Cheers, may we continue to read joyfully, may the stories heal us and made us stronger,
