I’ve killed Voldemort last week! I have been battling this horrendous Voldemort for almost four years … or is it five decades… I can’t remember, but one thing I’m sure of, it was surely a tiring lengthy battle.
I named one of my debt accounts: Voldemort, I’ve killed that one, in other words, proudly, of course, I’ve paid that debt fully.
I have not achieved the debt-free status…yet. But I will… I’m sure I can do this.

The next battle is related to the debt I created with Credit Card(s). for the last 2 months, I’ve been recorded every installment, regular bills, various card fees that I had to bear from these cards. It was not a happy sight, the reality of how much I actually spend on these cards, hit me hard. My awareness was dormant for some time and I was a little bit… okey… perhaps much… carried away with the ‘minimum payment’ feature. I am at that awful point where I can’t pay fully even for just one card. In Elton John’s words: so sad, so sad//it’s a sad, sad situation// And it’s gettin’ more and more absurd.. (sing it babe!)

So of course, what I need to do now is to choose a proper name for this debt, I’ve killed Voldemort, I will not resurrect it and use its name. I shall choose another name. A name that will entice my willingness to kill it once and for all, a name that properly describes these cards’ power to drain me of sanity and happiness.

While thinking about it, I remember Ms. Kim Kardashian West’s appearance in Met Gala 2021. Then, eureka moment! Yes, Thank you, Ms. Kim! I have decided, the name of the next debt I need to slay is ‘Dementors’.

“Dementors are among the foulest creatures, they infest the darkest, filthiest places, they glory in decay and despair, they drain peace, hope, and happiness out of the air around them. And the Dementor is able to make you be something like itself – soulless and evil.”

A great name. I must admit, it fulfills every requirement. Thanks Ms. Kim.

So, let the battle begin.
