“No matter how corrupt, greedy, and heartless our government, our corporations, our media, and our religious & charitable institutions may become, the music will still be wonderful.”
― kurt vonnegut, A Man Without a Country
Ow… are you writing about politics today? of course… No.
I just want to write about a corrupted file, and I’ve been working on this particular file for about three days. And after three long arduous days, all of sudden, the file is not readable. It became a corrupted file without any warning. It feels… supamega oouuch.. it really hurt.
My bad is that I did not back up the files on the cloud, I saved it locally in my expensive external hard disc, I need to write the “expensive” word because it really was bloody expensive for me. IDR 800.000 for a promise of incredibly spacious storage space; 1 terabyte.
This supamega ouuch experience surely brings the lesson that I need.
- More is more. If you had bought something with more money, then you surely feel more hurt if that thing is broken.
- Bigger is not equal to better. Bigger storage space, bigger capacity, is not equal with better space, better capacity.
- Back up your important file… repeat 1001 times.
Cheers,
