A letter from Perseverance to me:
Dear Karin, I am your perseverance, and even though you always deny my existence within yourself, but girl, I am here, you ain’t go anywhere without me. I am rooted deep within you, and by seeing where you stand right now, Girl, you are the living dictionary of what perseverance is.
It’s perseverance that makes you kept going through your post-graduate study, while at the same time facing that horrible, bitter and lengthy divorce process. It’s perseverance that makes you graduate with cum laude while at the same time you were carrying the burden of all your personal and financial matters.
It’s perseverance that made you finish writing your thesis along with your first original book and get all needed approval in time, even though you’re sleepless, often hopeless, and all you wanted to do was quit and cry. It’s perseverance that made you kept going to apply for work, even when the chance was minuscule, even when you have no “strong” recommendation letter when sending your hundredth application letter.
So every time you’re in doubt girl, just re-read my letter, again and again. I could write you a 10 pages letter for sure, but I guess the photo above will remind you of your perseverance much more efficiently than a thousand words.
Love yourself girl, no one quite like yourself.
