Quiet notes

It’s good to notice the quiet period after a storm. This is the period where everything feels… “Relatively” normal, because normalcy is widely personal for everyone right? Strange, I notice this now. I also notice I don’t sugarcoat almost everything now, for the sake of keeping everyone happy. And this too feels normal now.

I still remember when I tried to keep everything looking good while I was shattering inside. I didn’t even know why I behaved the way I did. But then I grow, I change, and I understand – painfully – that my shattered self is the process I have to get through. I have to get through the storm to get to the other side.

The moment I accept myself, I too become wide enough to accept everyone around me. I validate myself enough so I don’t chase validation from others. And that’s liberation. And funny enough, I too stop caring too much about how people will see me. I don’t like everyone I know, so..naturally the same thing goes to me too.

I worry a bit, about my favorite human because of my changes, they too feel the difference, and honestly it still feels uneasy for me. I used to be the fixer of everything, and now I fix things when I feel like it, on my own terms.

It’s good to notice this quiet period. Namaste.
