I struggled with math in my school years. Really struggled. No one told me about the brain that works differently for different people, or.. even some empathic comments such as: ow no need to worry, you’ll figure it out, you’re not alone if you’re struggling with math. None of those ever happened. What I had was: how stupid you are. That’s it. Stupid. Because I don’t speak in numbers.
So after the school years, I don’t fear math anymore… But still not much interest toward that too. Until I followed an online course by Prof. Barbara Oakley. Check her out. She’s cool.
I now want to learn math… Not because I have to… But I wish to see the beauty of it. Strange isn’t it? But I guess that’s the best reason to learn something. Not because you need it to pass some exam but because you genuinely want to know about one particular subject.
So.. where do I start? Not sure… But I’ll figure things out.
