No Buy Challenge

So if you’re ever interested in the No Buy Challenge, be specific on the things that you’re not buying for a period of time.

Me? Oh I am not interested in the No Buy Challenge darling, it’s not an interest, for me it’s a way of life! 😄😄

I did some rookie mistakes when I first did this No Buy Challenge: First, I underestimate the attractiveness of online market place/ social media, now I put a timer for any apps that is designed solely to arrest our attention. 5 minutes each for 4 session. So in total I can only scroll those apps for 20 minutes in one day. Second: I don’t specify the things that this No Buy Challenge is applied for. Now I am applying this challenge toward clothes and shoes and bag and kitchen utensils! Weird ya? But hey those things are magnetic though!😅😅 Now I am specifically slow in buying clothes. I still see too much unused clothes in the wardrobe, in the last two years I only bought 1 pair of sandals and a pair of shoes ( honestly… on a whim!), I haven’t bought any bag in the last two years! And kitchen utensils.. well I realized and remind myself oftentimes that I have more than enough, thank you.

One thing leads to others right? Once you enter this challenge, it will take you to the journey of self-audit. You’ll make time to audit your wardrobe, you’ll sort your clothes, your shoes, your bag. You think a lot when there is a sudden idea such as:”I need this so much! And I need it now!” Comes up. And in my personal opinion, you also become more creative in seeing the things you already have. I can use this for that… I can definitely use this bag for this travel. So a bag that has been sitting quietly for years, suddenly became the new bag you love to carry around for traveling. 😊

Well, I will still be here on this journey. A journey of shedding.
