They say good things happen to those who wait . I would say, it’s not a complete sentence. Good things happen to those who know how to wait. You see… I found out ( always the hard way) that waiting is not a passive word. Waiting is actually a very active word. We can wait and hope for something, and at the same time we need to actively live our life to the fullest. The waiting game shouldn’t stress us out, we should see it as a growing space given to us for free, so use it to the fullest.
When we are waiting, it’s best to detach ourselves from the expected result. I learned that when I feel I’ve got nothing left but wait, I need to simply let go of the expectations. I’ve done my part, entered the waiting phase, I live my life well, I eat balanced food, work out regularly, learn new things, read books, nurture the connection I have with my favorite humans etc. Of course I hope that the wait is worthwhile, and all this time I spent is not useless. But I am also aware that I’m too limited to see the whole grand picture, I am certain that everything is connected and my wish will affect some people in different ways. So I am living in my waiting phase, not focusing on the wait, not limiting how the result might be, I’m learning to be aware enough to notice everyday good things that already happen in my life abundantly.
Cheers, happy weekend my dearest readers.
