Shines

Those who envy me, you make me shine. Those who criticize me, you make me move forward. Those who detest me, you make me stronger. For you who loves me, you make me forget them all.

In my “radio days,” I was young, naive, and full of fire. I loved my work — imagine getting paid to do what you love, listening to music, sharing your thoughts, and connecting with strangers through the airwaves. I was good at it, too. Maybe too good, by some standards.

What I didn’t realize back then is that when you shine, your light doesn’t just illuminate — it casts shadows. People are drawn to brightness, but not everyone knows how to handle it. Some cheer you on. Some try to dim it. And some, struggling with their own darkness, might find your light overwhelming.

It took me years to understand: not all criticism comes from envy. Sometimes, it’s pain speaking in disguise. It doesn’t excuse cruelty, but it does offer context — and from that, compassion.

Still, no matter how strong your inner warrior, you need someone — even just one — whose love shields you when the world feels too loud.

So, if you’re shining today and someone tries to make you feel small, remember this:
Your light isn’t the problem.
Their storm is not your burden.
Shine anyway.

Cheers — envy me, hate me, rate me…
The bottom line is:
**You ain’t me.**

And to those who think I have it all — you’re not entirely mistaken.
I *do* have all that I need: a voice, a purpose, a few wins to celebrate… and yes, an awfully long, stressful chapter (or two) tucked somewhere in between.

But I am not the only one.
We’re all carrying something.
And truly — no one under the sun can have it all, all at once.

We’re all just walking each other home.
So keep your light. Tend to it.
And if it ever feels like too much — rest, but don’t let it dim.

Oooo… Never let your light shine down – sing it, don’t read it!
