So I was discharged from the hospital yesterday, and I found out that my body has its own intelligence which is not necessarily understood even by myself.
- To be confined in such a limited area like a hospital room for 9 consecutive days is not good for me. My body may tolerate 3-5 days but definitely not 9 days.
- When I walked out of that room, I felt so weak and a bit dizzy, at home nothing I can do but straight to the bed. And the mild fever also returned.
- Arriving at home, I couldn’t do anything but go straight to the bed. All the plans to take a long hot shower had gone away.
- But strangely, in a slow motion my body realized that this is not a hospital room anymore. I started to feel stronger. Even when I just go to the toilet or look for my shirt.
- This morning I had a glorious hot shower, I even changed the bed sheet, all by myself! Sure with lots of rest moments but I know I’m getting better. I decided today I will still focus on rest. No need to rush… The nine day halt lesson taught me clearly: if you need a rest, take a rest, or the body will force you to rest.
