Is it possible to be suffocated with things? if you ever had a similar question, well my friend, I assure you, yes… yes we can suffocate ourselves with everything we acquired in our life. I gave you one example, an Iron.. How many ironing devices are needed in one household? one! correct.., but in my house, we have at least 4 irons! 1 properly functioning iron and the other three are broken irons, they cannot deliver what expected of them, stabilized heat that can make my clothes neat and look super posh. Plates, my goodness.. I never count how many exactly plates at my house, but roughly guess, around 300 plates. Crazy, yep. Lunatic! exactly. Glasses, bowls, spoons, forks, and the most demanding of them all, clothes. I sorted out my clothes thrice last year, and my cupboard still looks so crowded. My mother’s cupboard, well it’s more hectic than mine.
Yesterday, I wanted to re-arrange the back room that functions as a storage room. As I opened the shelves door, the multitude of things just stared back at me. And I just stood there, didn’t really know where to start.
Am I starting to have this “Marie kondo” simplicity, or is it just a momentary deep cleaning spirit? Let see…. Let us just see….I believe we need space to grow, to breathe, to calm our nervous system. A crowded place makes a crowded mind. I’ll make that damnit space!
Cheers, may you be at peace at your place wherever you are now dearest readers.
