The fairy tales always end with: “and they live happily ever after”, and after that 6 words, the reader has no way to access further information about how the marriage between Cinderella and prince charming actually is. Who’s cooking for breakfast? Do they take turns in doing the laundry? How do they cope with anger toward the spouse And so on…
Is it possible that all fairy tales end that way because no one knows exactly how to manage a marriage? or is it because those who know stay silent and those who have little knowledge, speak too much.
I have met some elderly couples lately, they have been married for over 40 years.. and they are still fighting, sometimes up to the point where two of them cannot be at the same place at the same time. And I think it’s a sad picture of marriage, I just can’t understand why these people in their seventies still have so much anger toward their spouse? What are you doing in your togetherness? If the dislikes to each other are so much why are you still married?
I leave my abusive marriage after I almost lost all of my sanity…
