Shine

My social media is filled with Tina Turner’s story.. Mainly about her courage to leave her abusive ex. husband of 16 years who at that time was also her manager. I resonate deeply with her story, because I too left my abusive ex. husband of 8 years with no money and was unemployed at that time.

Tina found love 10 years after her divorce, I also found love again after ten years. Sure, my story and Tina story are wildly different regarding the scale and details of the events but.. abuse is abuse no matter what, and to survive from an abusive marriage and then still believe in love and actually find love again, that’s my dear, a really rare gem in life.

Tina said her second husband is wonderful, because he doesn’t need to dim his partner’s light so only his light will be seen. He is not intimidated by Tina’s fame and talent. And I feel the same way towards my current husband, of all the wonderful things he has in him, the most important thing is he let me be me. He let me be myself, he doesn’t ask me to change to fit him. We both shine in this beautiful relationship. ❀️

Do you believe in love even after experiencing a turbulent storm in your previous relationship? I do.

Cheers,
Karin Sabrina
