Brianna & Bottomwise

It’s rare that I read a book in one or two sittings. Briana and Bottomwise, a novel by Indonesian Author Andrea Hirata is that kind of book. A superb book, I laughed and cried as I read the stories from many parts of the world, intertwined beautifully with music, reminding me of ‘Not Fade Away’ by Jim Dodge and The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto by Mitch Albom ( also superb Novels by the way).

The book ended with a majestic closing; those who forget their dreams are destined to wake up every morning as losers. Then a hard question hit me: What is your dream now Karin Sabrina? I used to be the weird girl who loves daydreaming, I dreamed of being a professional haute couture model, being a writer of mystery novels, oh… I dreamed of having this huge Library of my own, and In this library, I’ll have lots of chocolate. I’ll read books and eat chocolate, yes, it’s my Willie Wonka dream.

But those were my old dreams … I need lots of new dreams…hemm… As I write this blog, an idea comes up… I think I could do that.. no need to fear the result.

Cheers, dream on… Dream on… Dream until your dream comes true!!

K Sabrina
