No

I still find it hard to say ‘No’ towards people that I care about. I never skip a beat to say No to a person I dislike – secretly or openly- but… To say No to a friend or a colleague that I genuinely like… It’s a bit problematic.

So yesterday, I said yes to my friend to go to the gym with her. This gym is quite small and simply way too crowded for my liking, but I still say yes, because she is my friend and I don’t want to let her down and BLA BLA BLA… We did a Pound class at the gym, I didn’t enjoy the session much, but she seems to enjoy it fully and said: let’s do this again, next week! And I can’t bring myself to say No. Geesshhhh 🙄

No I won’t go to that gym again. I plan to practice to say no as efficient and cheerful as possible. I don’t need to say no and continue to ramble the reasons why I say No… I will not make up stories about what people think about my decision…

Cheers, saying No is a form of self-care.
